Ephemerids
On a day like today...

Quote

Blofeld: 'The fire power inside my crater is enough to annihilate a small army. You can watch it all on TV. It's the last program you're likely to see.'
Bond: 'Well, if I'm going to be forced to watch television, may I smoke?'
Blofeld: 'Yes. Give him his cigarettes. It won't be the nicotine that kills you, Mr Bond.'

Can You Tell Fact From Fiction 1939
Description: Can You Tell Fact From Fiction, Folks? This is an alternative history of the Second World War - Volume 1 - 1939 written by James Kyler. James notes “During the 1980’s I wrote on a manual typewriter a 50 page diary of a reporter that reported events during World War II. It was a story about the military exploits of World War II, mainly battles and it included some members’ names from our club as well. 50% is true and 50% is false. Can you tell me the difference?” This alternate history of James'' provides a source for scenarios for games set within that alternate history.

Junior General - WWII Wargame Rules for Children
Description: The concept for these rules was from Mark Fritz of New Jersey. They have been rewritten by James Kyler of Oregon. These rules are meant to be played with children from the age of 10 and up, and are of a style that adult wargamers would call “Beer and Pretzel” Wargame Rules – perhaps “Milk and Cookies” Wargame Rules may be a better description. The Junior Generals Rule set is not only quick and simple to play, but fun too. If you have any feedback, please provide it to James Kyler, he would like to hear from you.

Lightning War II - Wargame Rules for World War II  Popular
Description: I have been gaming for over thirty years and nothing disappoints me more than impossibly complex rules! ?Lightning War? was designed to meet three objectives, (a) to reduce to an absolute minimum the necessity to study the rules! (b) Reflect, as far as the system design permits, realistic divisional level WW2 land warfare outcomes. (c) Reduce the time it takes to play a game so that there is a clear result for the players.

The Battle for Seelow Village ? 17th April 1945  Popular
Description: Soviet 8th Guards Army v German 9th Army.

Overview

Seelow village sits astride the major all weather road leading from the Oder-Niesse river valley through to the eastern suburbs of Berlin. The Russians required this route to reinforce and supply their planned assault on the final prize of the ?Great Patriotic War?? Berlin! The rail system, which served the valley, remained unusable, being the wrong gauge for Russian rolling stock.

The Germans had chosen their final eastern defensive position with care and had spent considerable effort to ensure it was as ?Russian Proof? as time and materials would allow. The Oder-Niesse Line was in fact three complex defensive lines, the final being located on the Seelow Heights. The battle for the heights represented the culmination of the Russian effort to open the path to Berlin.

This screnario is designed for either Rapid Fire Rules or for WWII Easyplay Rules.
