New This Week

New This Week - 9 April 2004

Busy! I've been busy. Multiple countries on multiple days. I haven't updated much to the Hole since for a while now. Soon though, real soon. Stand by.

Jeffrey got his first distinction in English at Uni. I think he was really quite pleased. Jen also continues to study well - I think she is enjoying life at Macquarie Uni a lot. Steve and the little fella continue on as always. That pretty much is what is happening in Thomo's Lost Household at the moment.

Remember that if you want something posted so that others can get to it on the web, you can post it in the Hole (files, articles, whatever - see the submissions section below).

New This Week - 17 February 2004

So I have been a little on the lazy side and really haven't updated much to the Hole since for a while now. The newest things are the piece on St Hilarion in Cyprus as well as some photos in the Gallery section of the Hole.

The research on the French-Thai War of 1940-41 is still done - just the articles need to be written. I have started on the air combat stuff (Mustangs) but not finished painting models. At the same time, I have been distracted a little with Coastal Warfare and have painted the odd 1/600th scale Motor Torpedo/Gunboat. I'll photograph the painted ones soon and add to the naval section of the Gallery.

What else has been changing in life? Well, Jenny (my daughter) performed well in her final exams and ended with a UAI in the low 90s. This was a good result. She is off to Macquarie University this year to study, hopefully finishing in a few years time with a B.Sc./B.A. in Natural History, Cultural and Museum Studies (I think that is the title - longest degree title there is).

Jeffrey was accepted to the University of Wollongong to study for a Bachelor of Computer Science. He reckons three years for the degree, then a further year for Honours, followed by a Masters/Doctorate ... he won't need to work for about 10 to 12 years. Young Steve thinks this is a good thing as well and has started to study along the same path.

Lyn has moved on from that new job after her contract was shortened due to administrative errors. At the same time, the drive to Nowra every day was a bit of a trial so she is looking around locally again. That pretty much is what is happening in Thomo's Lost Household at the moment.
