December 7th, 2007Over the years I’ve heard (and in some cases coined) terms related to notebook (laptop) computers – and this is leaving aside the remembered description of one CIO’s secretary as “laptop”. The terms:
- CrapTop – Laptop with a motherboard failure
- FlatTop – Laptop with a flat battery
- BlackTop – Laptop with a screen failure
- LapDance – trying to use a modern laptop with its inherent heat issues actually on your lap
I am sure there are others, of course, and naturally, should I hear them I’ll add them to the list here.
