iSixSigma sent me a newsletter today, one of the headlines being “Checking Simple Linear Regression Analysis Using 5S’s“. I guess that iSixSigma is referring to these:
- Seiri = sort, structurise, sort out
- Seiton = straighten, systematise, systematic arrangement
- Seiso = scrub, sanitise, spic and span
- Seiketsu = systematise, standardise
- Shitsuke = standardise, self-discipline
although I tend to think of the 5S’s as the morning ritual of:
- Shave
- Shit
- Shower
- Shampoo
- Shoeshine
Hmm, I think mine are used more often – or at least the first 4 S’s are
