Someone searched this term, “1:3000 ships”, in Thomo’s Hole the other day. They found no results. This is because I use the term 1/3000th. Also, for 1:300, I would use 1/300th. For 1:1200 and 1:200 then 1/1200th and 1/200th. Figure sizes are always in metric, so 2mm, 6mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 20, 25 and 28mm. Now, as my wargaming tends to be around 1/3000th ships, 1/300th aircraft, 1/1200th ships, boats, Aeronefs and Land Ironclads, then that is the usual time you’ll find me using the ratio links. All the other times I’ll use the millimetre scale.
Now, for those of you that were searching 1/3000th, then let me offer the following links:
- Ships
- How-To Wargames Guides Updated
- Poltava and Cataluna from WTJ Naval Miniatures
- Shikishima and Kearsarge from WTJ Naval Miniatures
- and Thomo’s Naval Wargames Gallery
There! That just about covers all the 1:3000 or 1/3000th content here. Happy reading.
