I’m off to Canberra this weekend. It is time for Cancon 2009. I’ve not been to Cancon for 5 years or so and I am therefore looking forward to getting there this year. The plan is (after getting rather merry tomorrow (Friday) night in Sydney with some old buddies) to get up Saturday morning, have a nice large breakfast and a coffee reading some more of Stirling’s Peshawar Lancers. Late morning I’ll dive into the car and drive to Canberra and hit Cancon.
I’ll be staying overnight in Canberra so will get there again on the Sunday.
To be honest, as a wargames show or convention goes, it is small compared to the biggest UK ones and has less traders than some of the smaller UK shows, but it is still, I think, the premier wargames show in Australia.
I am really looking forward to catching up with some old wargaming buddies there this weekend too (I’ll be there Kendo).
Woohoo – I feel like Dorothy skipping along the Yellow Brick Road.
