Woolworths buyer sacked after kickback allegations.
With Woolworths advertising “rolling back the shelf prices” to the level they were at a year ago (how come they went up anyway as the Aussie dollar has been appreciating over half that period) it seems that someone forgot to tell the national buyer for tea and coffee of the rollback and he forgot to rollback his “fee”.
And here was I, naive as I am, assuming the reason some of my favourite products were not on Woolies shelves was because they were out of stock, not that the supplier had forgotten to pay the kickback to the buyer.
I love Australia – we take such great national pride in rooting out and walloping those that are taking kickbacks because we all know that we all end up paying for it.
Time to go shopping – when is NQR coming to Sydney? 😆
